Yesterday was finally our Polka! V concert! Wooooooo! I only fell asleep at 12am, but was awakened by Zhenna's sms at 4am. She couldn't sleep, too nervous. Haha. After that I couldn't get anymore sleep. So I stayed awake till 8am, then decided to wake up. Haha.

Anyway, when I was carrying the high-hat down the blue staircase I fell down. Thanks to the court shoes. Haha. I practically rolled down and the high-hat landed with a crash! I can't remember who came to help me up but I do remember Bernice telling me to stay at the stage to open up the percussion stands. Haha. And my stockings really got hole. Ouch. Haha.

We practiced and practiced till 6.30pm, when we had lunch. Haha. We didn't get any lunch. I guess everyone was feeling really hungry! Especially Zhenna, Julia, Faith and XiaoYin, eat the most one. Haha. How to say, hmmm, 1 and a half packet of rice? Haha. Took our band photo then!

7pm finally came, and except those who played for Doxology, everyone was onstage. Bernice, Julia, Zhenna, Zaneta and me were in our "private" backstage. I pity Bernice, who keeps telling us to keep quiet. Haha. We four just never shut up I guess. We were all very nervous, and Bernice gave us some tips and said just look at Ms Chong. Haha. Then had lots of group hugs, and when Doxology was finally over, next was Legend Of The Ancient Hero. Finally our turn. I was pretty nervous. Looked at the audience and saw Mr Goh and his *coughs* fiance. :P Hahaha. I didn't see my sister anywhere! I was feeling quite sad lorh. Haha. I didn't miss any parts, but I did mess up some. I hope it wasn't obvious. :P

I guess most of the audience loved Parade Of The Bumbling Wooden Soldiers, cause when we went up and threw the percussion instruments onto the floor, everyone started laughing and cheering! Hahaha. I was at the timpani there. Rushed in time for my last 2 notes! :D

My sister only came during the intermission. Mr Goh gave us flowers! Thank you! Haha. And my sister was quite sad she missed the first part. Then we played Ponyo! Sec 1s had to dance k! But I was feeling quite hyper. So was Zhenna and Julia. We all enjoyed the dance I guess! :D After Ponyo the Sec 1s went to sit at the front row, but I was playing for the next song so ran for my life onto stage. I was still wearing court shoes k! Nearly fell. Haha. Then for Christmas "Pop" Sing-A-Long, I played the timpani. I sang along too. Hahaha! Be glad neither Zhenna nor Julia nor Zaneta was beside me, or you'll see them running from me eh! :P Threw the coloured straws at the end. I was quite sad when the performance was finally over. It seemed like only 15 minutes on stage but it was really 2 hours. Sad huh. Haha. It was fun.

Moved the things back and packed up. I was freaking tired. Took many section pics together! PERCUSSION ROCKS. With our percussion Alumni too! :D

The next song was Technology, our percussion ensemble! Bernice had told us to take out our blazers for the song so we ran backstage and took it off. Came runnning out again. Wooooooooo! I get we were all quite nervous and there were some errors. D: But I guess we would improve soon! :D Hahaha. It was FUN. I love our percussion ensemble! :D

And well, guess what happened on the bus back to school. Valarie and Ruth (Trombone section) start being crazy and singing, then me and Andrea turned hyper too! In the end, not singing, screaming! Hahahaha! I think we all went mad lorh! Finally reached school. Unloaded the instruments and went home. Thank God still got bus man! Hahaha.

Polka! V is finally over. Suddenly I feel so bored, cause now there's two weeks of band break. There'll be nothing to do at home. Haiz, I'll be really bored! Haha. Now there's Limelight to look forward to! 7th April, 2010. Want tickets tell me first k! I'll reserve for you! :D Omg I love Polka! It was really fun for a first concert. (:
